DC reviews progress of
BRO Roads in Poonch District
POONCH, MARCH 01: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal
today reviewed the progress of work on the road projects being executed by
Border Roads Organization (BRO) in the Poonch District.
The meeting, attended by Additional Deputy
Commissioner, Collector Land Acquisition Rajouri-Poonch, OC GREF 79RCC and
other key officials, focused on the status of critical infrastructure works.
Sub Divisional Magistarte Surankote, Tehsildar and Xen
PWD (R&B), joining the meeting virtually, provided key updates on various
road works being executed in the subdivision.
The Deputy Commissioner issued a firm directive to the
SDM to expedite the removal of structures obstructing the alignment of the
Rajouri Thanamandi Surankote Road (RTS) and NH144-A, underscoring the
importance of preventing delays in the execution of these vital projects.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the
Tehsildar Surankote to prepare the necessary revenue documentation and mandated
the Xen PWD to undertake an assessment of the obstructing structures.
Stressing the urgency of timely project delivery, the
Deputy Commissioner urged all executing agencies to accelerate their efforts to
ensure the prompt completion of these essential infrastructure initiatives.
