DC Budgam inspects status of BSNL
towers at Yousmarg, Nagbal & Kanidajan
Directs departments to coordinate for
time bound resolution of issues on ground for immediate telecom connectivity
BUDGAM, JANUARY 10:
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo, today conducted an
extensive visit to inspect the status of BSNL 4G towers installed at Kanidajan,
Nagbal and Yousmarg areas under the 4G saturation project.
During the visit to
Nagbal, Kanidajan, the DC directed BSNL & line departments to coordinate
closely and ensure that all teething issues on ground which are holding back
the final operationalisation of towers are resolved in a time bound manner for
ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for the local population.
The DC also visited
the BSNL tower site at Yousmarg wherein the telecom connectivity was tested
successfully.
After the
installation of these towers the people as well as the tourists visiting these
places shall be able to stay connected through the required telecom
infrastructure. This shall also ensure connectivity for online educational
classes for the local population and the digital transactions spanning across various
sectors in day to day life.
The DC was
accompanied by CEO Yousmarg Development Authority, Bilal Khursheed, SDM
Chadoora, Chief Planning Officer Budgam, Tehsildar Chrarsharief, SDO BSNL,
engineers from KPDCL and other concerned officers.
