DIET Kishtwar conducts programme on National Level Cyber
Security Awareness
KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 12: DIET Kishtwar
under the overall supervision of Principal DIET, Prahlad Bhagat conducted one
day workshop on National Cyber Security Awareness wherein Principals of
different higher Secondary Schools, Headmasters of High Schools and students of
HSS Boys and HSS Girls Kishtwar participated.
The main motive of conducting the
workshop was to aware officers and student community in order to increase cyber
resilience of the Nation.
The event witnessed active
participation, with around 50 students from classes 11th and 12th, along with
teachers and officers.
Deputy Superintendent of police
(Headquarter) Kishtwar Dr. Ishan Gupta, delivered the guest lecturer along with
another cyber expert Sub Inspector Moin.
Dy.SP headquarter Kishtwar
apprised the participants about the risks associated with internet and
excessive use of it including the usage of mobile by providing valuable
strategies for maintaining a balanced digital lifestyle.
The expert resource persons
further explained about the "Cyber Surakshit Bharat" (#SatarkNagrik),
and emphasized that cybersecurity requires a comprehensive national approach,
yet ultimately revolves around people.
He cautioned the participants to stay
vigilant and not to fall prey of it with regard to
misinformation/disinformation, fake narrative etc.
District Nodal Officer for Cyber
Security, Riaz Ahmed Butt also thrown the light on the forthcoming Various
competitions on themes like Quizzes, Drawing and painting, creating a cartoon
story, reels, shorts, slogans writing, cyber awareness tales, character driven
story telling , short arenas videos, short films on Cyber-Security awareness
Competitions on safer internet Day. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr
Nadeem Ul Hassan, Sr. Lecturer DIET Kishtwar.
