7 Samba youth provided commercial
vehicles under Mumkin Scheme
SAMBA, NOVEMBER
07: Seven persons from different areas of district Samba became proud owners of
Commercial Vehicles by availing the benefits of Mumkin Scheme under the J&K
government’s flagship Mission Youth program.
Deputy
Commissioner Rajesh Sharma handed over the keys to the eligible beneficiaries
in presence of Assistant Director Employment (Nodal Officer for Mission youth
schemes) Naresh Kumar.
The DC urged the
beneficiaries to work hard to become a role model for others. He appealed to the
unemployed youth to come forward to seek financial assistance to start any type
of self employment activity in the district under different schemes of Mission
Youth like, Mumkin, Tejaswini and Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative
scheme.
The MUMKIN scheme
has been launched by Mission Youth J&K. Under this scheme commercial
vehicles are being provided to the youth at 20% subsidy on the bank loan
enabling them to earn a decent livelihood. The cost of insurance and
registration charges are to be borne by the government.
So far 491
applications have been approved by the District Level Task Force in Samba
against which subsidy has been released in favour of 249 candidates amounting
to Rs. 205.71 lakh.
